You have revealed the paths of life to me; You will fill me with gladness in Your presence. Acts 2:28
Therefore repent and turn back, so that your sins may be wiped out, that seasons of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord, Acts 3:19
We wait for many things with broken spirits as we wait. Ultimately, joy and gladness come from the experience of His presence.
Let’s wait on His presence.
He reveals the path of life.
The Spirit is the One who gives life. The flesh doesn’t help at all. The words that I have spoken to you are spirit and are life. John 6:63
Life is found in His Word. Joy is found in His presence. Life is found in His presence through the power of the Spirit.
Here lies the secret of joy in the wait. We think we need a baby and a better job, a full bank account and a full head of hair, a job that we love with benefits to boot, significant impact and numbers to prove it.
Father, please give me joy in Your presence as i head to a 9-5 that i dread daily, a ministry of no visible significance or fruit, a life with limited connections, struggling communication with important relationships, failures abounding past, present and likely future.
I wait for You, not debt freedom, financial independence, and freedom from slavery to the 9-5, significance, financial unity or any other unity, fruitfulness and multiplication, impressive talent, long life, hair, good looks and the weekend.
I wait for You. I wait for Your Word. I wait for Your counsel. I wait for Your felt presence. I wait for the Spirit of Truth. Help me to see You.
