The one talent manager was afraid of the boss and hid the resource entrusted to him. It is possible that he was frustrated that he only received one talent.
For 20 years, Jacob worked for the house of Laban, while Laban cheated him and changed his wages 10 times. And yet Jacobs prayer to Yahweh, “I am unworthy of all the kindness and faithfulness You have shown Your servant (Gen 32:10a).
Jacob was a 10 talent manager, but he demonstrates to us the heart of a manager. Be thankful for the kindness and faithfulness of God entrusting even one talent to us.
Father, help us to be faithful with our one.
Sacrifice a thank offering to God (Ps. 50:14a). Our one talent does not afford us the opportunity to be radically, financially generous, but we can offer the sacrifice of thanksgiving. You see according to Psalm 50, He does not need our money. He is not waiting for us to give so that He can accomplish His purposes. He is going to accomplish His purposes.
Our offering of thanks brings Him glory.
Our stories are as unique as the holiness of God. No two stars are exactly alike, and He has a name for each one, every one bringing Him unique glory.
We each have a story that is unique and brings Him unique glory especially when we are thankful. Especially when we trust Him and praise Him and commit our ways to Him.
